Day 1: Siem Reap Arrival - Angkor Thom - Angkor
Wat
Our car and guide
will pick you up at the airport then transfer to visit Angkor Thom, the old
king palace and
famous walled city. We’ll visit South Gate of Angkor Thom, Central
Angkor Thom with Bayon, Terrace of the Elephants, and Terrace of the Leper
King. We then continue to Ta Prohm.
We break for lunch at a local restaurant. We then continue to visit Angkor
Wat. Angkor
Wat is a World Heritage Site since 1992, renowned for its beauty and splendor.
Angkor Wat features the longest continuous bas-relief in the world, which runs
along the outer gallery walls and narrates stories from Hindu mythology. Angkor
Wat was a temple dedicated to the Hindu God - Vishnu. It was constructed over a
period of 30 years by King Suryavarman II, who reigned between 1131 and
1151.
After
here, we visit Ba Khenh Temple: the first temple in the Angkor region built by in the 9th century, and enjoy a romantic sunset view from Bakheng
Hill. In the evening, we enjoy dinner
with Apsaras dancing show.

Day 2: Tonlé Sap - Siem Reap
Departure
After breakfast we take a short drive to Tonlé Sap for a cruise on the lake and a visit to a floating village to explore the
fishing village life. Upon our return to Siem Reap, we visit Artisans Angkor,
a local project assisting young people and training in handicrafts, carving and
various local techniques. Lunch is at
the local restaurant and we relax until your flight time and optional shopping
is available.
*Note: For those that arrive late morning on
the first day, Day 2 can be tailored more for visits to Angkor
Wat and the surrounding temple complexes.
