Testimonials - What Our Clients Say

We love satisfied clients

Hallo Quynh,

Yes everything went nice and smooth.

The first big surprise was the May de Ville hotel . Very good value for the money. Actually it was the first hotel (in my life) that not only provided free WiFi , but also a free laptop for every room .

The Halong Bay crusie was a definate WOW and the ship , accomodation , food staff etc was extraordinary . The people were very professional , accepting ,but not demanding and pushing for tips .

All in all it was a nice trip . The trip to the market (4 hours one way ) was LONG but rewarding - only one more westerner at the market besides us . Got some nice pics from the "Flower Hmong".

J. Ludwig

Note: Jay is a repeat client living in Thailand - we've been with him for a long time!

Hi Quynh,
April 17, 2011

We arrived safely and happy back this morning with lots of great memories. It was an awesome trip and we would like to thank you not only for the surprise gift (white wine) which we had at about 3000 meter at the night in the camp but also for organizing this trip for us.
As I said it could not have been better and we enjoyed every second.
The guide was excellent and very informative and the driver knew exactly what he was doing on these narrow roads. We even met Mr. Sonam and spent a great night with him at the campsite.
We really enjoyed our days in Bhutan and of course the trip was way to short.
So thank you again for all your organizing and help and if you need some pictures or anything please let us know.

Hopefully see you soon.

Best

Stefan

Dear Quynh, April 16, 2011

We arrived back to Athens the day before yesterday.

I would like to thank you so much for a really WONDERFUL Vietnam tour. I have to say that it exceeded our expectations. I am especially happy that my mother enjoyed the tour so much. This trip was actually a gift to her.

Please convey my warmest regards to Son, who had been a terrific guide. He was extremely helpful and patient with my endless requests for photos!  I have traveled all over the world, but rarely did I meet a more pleasant, knowledgeable and enthusiastic guide. Our driver, Vinh, was wonderful as well.  Overall, I was very impressed by the level of professionalism and care of Remote Asia. I will definitely recommend your agency to all our friends and I look forward to contact you again for our next Asia trip - I am already planning to travel with you to Laos next year!

I wish you good luck and all the very best in life.

Best regards

Kostas

Hi Quynh,  April 03, 2011

Thanks so much for the Bhutan information - I will look at it properly when I return home next month. Much appreciated. In the meantime, thank you again for organizing our trip - we had such a wonderful time, both in Laos and Cambodia - we felt very safe at all times and we have wonderful memories to take home with us.

Everything was great - and we look forward to coming back to Asia.  Thank you for all your help in making our trip so wonderful.

With best wishes,

Thanks again Jim,

That was an incredible adventure and I would do it again with you anytime.  I will never be able to thank you enough for the help and enthusiasm that you provided on this trip.  We will get to do it again, on the bikes next time.  I will be a little more prepared now that I am over the initial shock of being there.  I hope you enjoyed the trip too I know you were really humping and again I thank you for you for that.  That was a fabulous dinner so thank your wife again for me.  The rest of the trip went perfect I made it to my friends house in Bangkok and am now back in Mexico.  I will stay in touch.

Jim

Just wanted to thank you again for the excellent service you provided to us on our most recent trip. The bikes were A1 and your local knowledge and tips once again made the journey and the off bike activities (beerlao and the local food) so much more enjoyable.

We are already planning to come over again next year and bring another couple of riders so look forward to catching up again.

Cheers
Simon

Hey Jim,

The trip was awesome and just kept getting better. The kit and the bikes were excellent and we had no technical problems at all.  We met another biker at a gas station who had rented his bike from another firm and he was complaining about everything!  We are already thinking about another trip, and if we go we will use remote Asia.

Thanks again,

Andrew

Hi Quynh and Jim,

Ingrid and I just wanted to let you know that we were very satisfied with the huge amount of good tips and the superb service you offered us while we were in Laos last month.

Laos is a great country to discover by motorbike - especially if that motorbike is well maintained ;-) We had a wonderful time and definitely hope to come back once.

Many, many thanks for both your and your wife's support!

Best regards,

Ingrid & Stijn

PS Back to work now :-(

Hi Quynh,

Back home now -10 degrees and lots of snow .... we are so glad that we had the wonderful trip and the great weather. We are totally relaxed now and a bit sun-tanned as well and feel great!

I promised to get back to you with reflections and comments regarding the trip and we have only one word to say - FANTASTIC!! .. thanks a lot to you and your hard work!!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

James,

Thank you for all.  I know that with out you our work would have been a lot harder and a lot more stressful.

I really enjoyed getting to know you and really looking forward to when we meet again.  Weather work or a great ride around Lao.

Thank you again and I will be talking with my wife about the 2011 dental project.

Please don't be a stranger.  And I'll try to keep in touch as well.

Gina Wu and Kai Lee:

We worked with Remote Asia to plan our perfect Laos trip and they were awesome! We had quite a bit of back and forth since we had 21 days and wanted to see as much of Laos as possible while doing lots of activities so we thank them for their patience.  We went kayaking (they were very accommodating with our request for single boats), biking, hiking, rock climbing, village visiting, dolphin sighting, scooter riding-really everything we wanted!  The guides and the transportation they had set up with us were all wonderful and the 5 of us had a fun filled trip. And it was great meeting Jim and Quynh in person in our hotel. THANKS so much!

Hi Jim, Just wanted to put on record our thanks for a great 10 days in Laos. We both thoroughly enjoyed the ride, the countryside and the organisation. We found the trip a perfect balance between off-road technical riding and simple but beautiful scenic riding. Many thanks.

Jim, You did it again. Two years later and the excitement is the same. You know its good when 5 Canadians are more excited about where were riding too, that celebrating a Gold Medal in Hockey. Lets start planning the next ride. Ted Van Duin

One of the best experiences of my life. We were able to see the best parts of Laos in a week, all made possible by the well maintained machines that we used to tour the countryside. Couldn't have asked for more. Thanks Jim!

We hadnâ??t plan on going with a tour group until we saw Remote Asiaâ??s web site. But the idea of a private tour was very appealing, as Remote Asia could cater to whatever activities we wanted to do. They were very helpful in answering all our queries and helping to make sure that everything ran smoothly, right down to our town downs in Laos, whichever the city we were in. The guides were great and knowledgeable, and we were given a lot of flexibility with our time. It was truly an amazing experience for the 3 of us, made that much more memorable with the package organized by Remote Asia. Thanks, guys!

Laos was an amazing experience, it was only me and the tour guide, Jim, which for the last few years is riding and exploring Asia (Cambodia, Thailand, Vietnam, Laos, etc), he lives in Laos (and married to a Vietnamese girl), he knows every little road, every remote villages, and all the history, we did mostly off road and jungle trails, and it was fun to go on my own pace, I can defiantly say it was amazing trip we went places that almost no one seen, we road an amazing part of the Ho Chi Minh Trail (the trail that the Vietnamese used to smuggle weapon to northern Vietnam in the war) a side track trail that maybe 20-30 other foreigners ever did (since after the Vietnam war) it is too narrow for 4x4, and too dangerous, We crossed a lot of rivers (sometimes by riding, and some with very small boat that almost didn't fit the bike. i think you guys will have a great time with him. Thanks for the great ride!! Ori

Just came back from a trip with some friends along the border in south Laos. We were on rented Baja 250s that worked great. Had a fabulous time. I have been in Asia a long time, but it was still very enjoyable to parts of Laos I had not been to before. Jim is a great guide, and very in tune with the local culture. Everything went smoothly, Quynh working quietly in the background ?? They have my highest recommendation !!!!!!

Quynh and Jim took so much of the trouble out of spending a week alone in Northern Laos. Even with my limited biking experience they provided the support that allowed me to travel safely and to some fantastic locations. Their services have been so good my family has just finished our second round of travels organised through them. Having Quynh and Jim behind the scenes has made all the difference. Thanks guys.

They gave us a toolkit, but the only thing we used it for was to open the Beerlao at the end of each day's successful ride. Top-quality equipment, top-quality support. Cheers!

I used the services of Jim and Quynh at info@remoteasia.com and highly recommend them!!! Me and a friend spent 18 days riding around the north of Laos on 250cc Hondas during November 2007. While Jim is the man with all the information, Quynh is the real brains of the operation. She was fantastic in her attention to detail and always responded to my emails and calls in a timely manner. We used remote asia for not only bike rental but flights around Southeast Asia and some hotel bookings. We paid half up front through Paypal and the rest when they met us at our hotel in Vientiane. Having a phone provided by them was also a nice touch. We plan to return next year and see the south of Laos. Thanks Jim & Quynh and see you then.

In the Land of a Million Elephants there's only one outfit who can negotiate the various jungle trails and ensure a trouble free, fun and exciting trip to Laos and the surrounding Asian 'neighbourhood'. Jim & Quynh @ Remote Asia will take good care of you both on & off-road as well as any jungle track that takes your fancy!
