Day 1: Arrive Vientiane depart to Vang Vieng ( 155 KM)

Upon arrival inVientiane, met at the airport and transfer to the shop to pick up the bikes. Lunch at the shop (sandwiches plus). We depart at 14:00 and drive up Highway 13 to Vang Vieng, arrival in Vang Vieng at 17:30. Dinner at Kangaroo Sunset and overnight at Elephant Crossing Hotel in Vang Vieng. Depending on departure time, an alternate route to Vang Vieng can be done.

Day 2: Vang Vieng – Phonsavan (220 KM)

Departure from Vang Vieng at 08:30 and short break 60 km later in Kasi for drinks. The next 50 km to Phou Khoum are very scenic and stops along the way for photos and ride breaks. Lunch near Phou Khoum at a hotel under construction with no other tourists. Ride to Phonsavan with several stops as you wish and arrival in Phonsavan, check into the hotel. We’ll ride to Site 1 of the Plain of Jars for a vist. Arrival in Phonsavan at 15:00, 1 hour plus at site 1. We return to Phonsavan, dinner at a local restaurant and a visit to the local MAG (Mine Action Group) office for information on the unexploded ordinance problem in the area.

Day 3: Phonsavan – Luang Prabang (225 KM)

Departure after breakfast at 08:30. We’ll continue back to Phou Khoum (113 km) for early lunch and fuel. Jim departs back to Vientiane from here and the group rides to Luang Prabang (112 km). Upon arrival in Luang Prabang, the group brings the bikes to our agent in Luang Prabang for delivery and shipping back to Vientiane (about 15:30). Transport to Sala Prabang is taken care of and free evening in Luang Prabangs.

Day 4: Luang Prabang Heritage Tour

Half day tour of Luang Prabang. Either mornign or afternoon start, up to the group. This leaves ½ a day free for massage and relaxation in Luang Prabang.

Day 5: LPQ – REP

Breakfast at the hotel and transfer to the airport for the flight to Siem Reap, the flight departs at 10:50 o r10:35
